Breaking: Marcus Rashford is preparing to return to Manchester United training if a transfer does not take place, according to sources.

Marcus Rashford is expected to rejoin Manchester United training next month unless a transfer deal is finalized before then, sources told ESPN.

Manchester United are open to offers for Rashford this summer, alongside teammates Jadon Sancho, Antony, and Alejandro Garnacho. Although clubs like Barcelona, Inter Milan, Juventus, Bayern Munich, and several Premier League sides have shown interest, no formal bids have been submitted. As it stands, Rashford—who is contracted until 2028—is scheduled to report to Carrington for preseason in July.

ESPN sources say new head coach Ruben Amorim has not yet decided if Rashford, Sancho, Antony, and Garnacho will be included in the club’s summer tour of the United States. With over a month remaining until United travel to Chicago, New York, and Atlanta, Amorim’s camp has indicated it’s still too early to finalize the touring squad.

Rashford spent the latter half of last season on loan at Aston Villa, where he scored four goals in 17 matches.

Manchester United have not dismissed the possibility of another loan move for the 27-year-old forward, although they would prefer a permanent transfer. His market value is estimated at around £40 million.

Rashford is reportedly keen on joining a Champions League club to boost his chances of being selected by Thomas Tuchel for England’s 2026 World Cup squad, which will compete in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico.
