Breaking: The Reds are Anticipating Three Stars Players Next Week

Manchester United to Strengthen Youth Squad with Three Summer Signings

Manchester United are preparing to reinforce their youth setup with three early additions in the upcoming summer transfer window.

While the club has already made its first senior signing—bringing in Matheus Cunha from Wolves in a £62.5 million deal—and continues to pursue Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo, with manager Ruben Amorim eyeing more attacking options, the focus isn’t solely on the first team.

United are also making moves to secure promising young talent, with three youth signings expected to be finalized next week. According to Manchester World, Diego Leon will join from Paraguayan side Cerro Porteño after a deal initially agreed upon in January. French forward Enzo Kana-Biyik is set to arrive from Le Havre, and Southampton’s Harley Emsden-James will also make the switch once his contract ends this month.

Youth Deals Near Completion

Diego Leon, an 18-year-old full-back, had to wait until his birthday in April to finalize his move from Cerro Porteño. He underwent medicals in Manchester earlier this year and is set to sign a five-year contract. The deal includes an initial £3.2 million fee, potentially rising to £7 million with performance-related add-ons.

Kana-Biyik, also a teenager, agreed to join from Le Havre last month and will officially become a United player once his current deal ends. United plan to confirm both his and Leon’s signings with short announcements once the paperwork is complete.

The third addition, centre-back Harley Emsden-James, will join from Southampton next week. United regard the young defender as a high-potential prospect and have agreed to pay around £1 million in compensation, which includes a 20% sell-on clause for the Championship club.
